Fall Beauty Alert: Wine-Stained Lips

Wine is the new red in beauty. The latest craze on the fall runways, as well as on celebrities on and off the red carpet (Lana Del Rey we are looking at you), dark lips are great way to add a touch of sophisticated edge to any outfit.

Cranberry and dark berry shades best complement fair skin (as seen on Kate Bosworth above), merlot and burgundy tones enhance olive and medium-dark skin tones, and eggplant and plum color palettes look stunning on dark skin.

Worried about such an extreme color choice? Apply lipstick with a brush or your fingertips to control the amount of color that you want on your lips.
